When we started working with the developer of Rogue Souls, they had a short description that laid out the game’s concept clearly - the roguelike format with souls-like combat - but lacked the punch and polish needed to truly stand out on Steam.

Analyzed 20+ top-performing roguelikes and souls-likes on Steam to benchmark tone, length, and structure.

Rewrote the short and long descriptions with sharper action verbs, genre-appropriate tone, and more evocative language to better convey the unique selling point of Rogue Souls.

🏺 Before (original version)

Rogue Souls is a combination between a traditional "Roguelike" and the difficulty of a "Souls" game. Go through randomly generated dungeons, use different classes of characters each with different weapons to master.

🚀 After (our version)

Every death is a new beginning. Rogue Souls is a 2D roguelike with tight, tough-as-nails, strategic battles and an arsenal filled with extraordinary weapons. Dodge, strike, and vanquish ruthless enemies. Be prepared to lose everything… except your edge.
